H20 to Help Others New Jersey American Water’s H2O Help to Others Program™ is designed to help those who need it most. Customers who qualify may receive a grant of up to $500 to help pay their water bill. To qualify for this program, the total monthly household income may not exceed 200 percent of the Federal Poverty Level and client must show a good faith payment of $100 on their account within 90 days of applying. Low Income Payment Program (LIPP) The Low Income Payment Program (LIPP) takes the H2O Help to Others Program™ one step further by providing aid to New Jersey American Water’s most economically challenged customers. This aid can be equivalent to as much as 20% of a customer’s monthly bill, depending on eligibility. To qualify for this program, the total monthly household income may not exceed 175% percent of the Federal Poverty Level and client must show a good faith payment of $100 on their account within 90 days of applying. How you can help New Jersey American Water customers who wish to contribute to the H2O Help to Others Program™ can do so by adding a donation to their monthly New Jersey American Water bill payment. Donations can be made as a one-time gift or a monthly donation of $1, $3 or $5. You can be assured that 100 percent of your donation and our matching funds go directly to qualifying customers. New Jersey American Water assumes all administrative costs for this program so that every penny you donate goes directly to this worthwhile cause.
