Lakewood, NJ — August 15, 2003 —On August, 15, 2003, New Jersey SHARES (NJ SHARES), together with the
Lakewood BlueClawS,
hosted the 2nd annual NJ SHARES night at FirstEnergy
Park in Lakewood, New Jersey. Ticket sales helped raise money for NJ SHARES.
Most importantly, the evening drove home the mission of the organization
and raised awareness. Nearly, 8,000 people attended NJ SHARES Night and
learned of the importance of NJ SHARES to those in need. NJ SHARES Board
President, Harold Garwin threw out the first pitch and the crowd was introduced
to NJ SHARES through an on-field check presentation, special announcements,
and the video billboard.
New Jersey SHARES will reach out to the public through America’s
favorite pastime once again on August 30, 2003 when the
New Jersey Jackals
host a New Jersey SHARES Night at Yogi Berra Stadium in Little Falls,
New Jersey.
