Cool Down for Warmth is HERE!
Cool Down for Warmth presented by PSE&G is FINALLY here!
This week, NJSHARES’ Cool Down for Warmth Ice House is being assembled on Prudential Center’s Championship Plaza in Newark by Guinness World Record Holder Ed Jarrett and company.
Come on down and check it out – all are invited to visit the Ice House on the following days/times:
- Thursday, February 1 – 8:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
- Friday, February 2 – 8:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
In addition to the Ice House, Championship Plaza will be abuzz with a variety of fun, family-friendly activities on the 1st including an Ice House Selfie Wall, Devils’ fan activities like Slapshot Hockey and VIP drop-ins, with hot chocolate provided by The Salvation Army.

It’s not too late to GET INVOLVED!
Join a team, sit in the Ice House yourself or donate to an existing Cool Down for Warmth team to help provide warmth and hope to your neighbors in need this winter season.
Donations may be eligible for a dollar-for-dollar match from NJ SHARES’ partner utility companies, and 100 percent of donations and matching funds will provide utility assistance grants to New Jersey individuals and families in need through NJ SHARES’ assistance programs.

Special Feature: NJPAC Staff to Perform Lindy Hop at the Ice House
The New Jersey Performing Art Center (NJPAC), one of our Cool Down for Warmth event partner, will perform a Lindy Hop at the Ice House at 12:30 p.m. on February 1st.
The Lindy Hop is an American dance that was born in Harlem, New York City in 1928 and has evolved since then with the jazz music of that time. It was particularly popular during the Swing era of the late 1930s and early 1940s.
