New Jersey SHARES, Inc (NJS) is an award winning statewide nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting NJ’s middle and fixed income households with their energy bills. Clients are reached through a strong statewide network of agencies. NJS has enjoyed 16 years of success and subsequently has developed programs for telephone and water utility assistance.

NJ SHARES has three opportunities available in our Client Services Call Center located in Mercer County, NJ.

Supervisor, Client Services Call Center, Full Time

In addition to having exemplary customer service and communications skills, candidates must have experience with supervising staff, coordinating program activities, staff/volunteer assignments and objectives. Candidates will be expected to exercise independent judgment in evaluating situations and rendering determinations. The applicant will be responsible for training subordinate level employees as directed by Manager. The position will also require skills to assist in the development of policies and procedures and identify areas of improvement in day-to-day operations.

Candidates should have 3-5 years of customer service experience, knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Senior Representative, Client Services Call Center, Full Time

The applicant will be expected to have excellent interpersonal and customer service communication skills. Candidates will be required to handle a variety of calls and assist other call center representatives with escalated issues. Candidates must have experience with supporting staff, coordinating reports, setting priorities, supervising activities and cross training subordinate level employees.   The senior representative will be responsible to work with clients to resolve any issues, keep data logs and reports for each contact.

Candidates should have 3-5 years of customer service experience, knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Representative, Client Services Call Center, Part Time

General Description:

  • Provide general clerical and administrative support for NJ SHARES programs.
  • Answer incoming client calls regarding various NJ SHARES programs and services and other programs.
  • Examine documents for authenticity or validity
  • Respond to all client, intake agency and internal inquiries
  • Provide courteous, accurate and timely response for information
  • Provide excellent service to all internal and external clients
  • Make outbound calls/courtesy calls to assist as many households as possible in obtaining assistance
  • Other job responsibilities may vary from assisting with mailings, scanning applications and processing applications. 

Work experience requirements:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
  • One year or more of customer service experience.
